I know I've been saying this a lot over the last two weeks, but I need to say it just one more time: HAPPY NEW YEAR! When the sun enters Aries most contemporary astrologers consider it to be the official astrological new year, but in Kabbalistic Astrology it is the New Moon of Aries that fully brings in and manifests the energy of renewal in the cosmos. This month in the Kabbalistic Calendar is a fascinating one. In the Torah, it is called Chodesh Ha Aviv, or Father of Months meaning that within this month exists the energy of the following months. Question for you: what is the reason we place so much emphasis on the new moons? Is it out of obligation because the first instruction given to the ancient Israelites as they left Egypt was to bless the new moon? Is it because we need an excuse to celebrate? Or is it because we do it out of rote, robotic behavior? In Kabbalah, we never seek to understand the cause of anything by looking at the physical manifestation. We always go to the higher, metaphysical cause to understand its truest essence. According the Zohar, the Sun and Moon represent powerful, cosmic energy intelligences. As I said in my article on the New Moon of Pisces 1, the Sun represents the Light of the Creator which seeks to fill us with its beneficence, and the moon represents us, the vessel, and our desire to receive that energy of fulfillment. Whenever we have a new moon, we are entering into a new cosmic cycle of initiation (new moon), building (waxing moon), manifestation (full moon), and finally endings (waning moon). The Kabbalists teach that the most powerful moment of the launching of a project is its seed level, or the moment you begin the process. Within an apple seed, the entire tree is concealed, but eventually it will become revealed through a process of growth. If there is a problem with the DNA in the seed, then there will be a problem with the tree. The New Moons are like the seed level of our months, and our consciousness is the DNA we inject into that seed. Whatever we think, say, and do on the day(s) of the New Moon, will have a direct effect on how the energy of that month manifests. Not only that, but the more elevated our consciousness and actions are on that day, the more control we will have over the energy of that month. That is why the New Moons in general are a powerful cosmic window where we can take back our control over the external world, through taking spiritual control of our consciousness. Aries is like the ultimate New Moon because it contains not just the energy of the Month of Aries, but additionally, the energy of all the months that will follow.
The Month of Aries has an interesting structure. The first day of Aires corresponds to the seed level of the month itself. The second day contains the seed level of the following month, Taurus. The third day is the seed level of Gemini, and so on and so forth until we arrive at the twelfth day which corresponds to the seed level of Pisces. This means that in the first twelve days of Aries every thought we think, word we speak, and action we take will directly influence the next twelve months to come. Sounds a little intimidating, right? Well, truth be told, we should be more cautious and conscious in these twelve days so that we inject as much positive energy into our year as possible. The Kabbalists teach that there are two forces in our physical world that seek to influence our consciousness: the energy of the Light and the energy of the opponent, what some religions refer to as Satan. But in Hebrew, Satan just means adversary. It is the energy that seeks to tempt us to behave negatively so that we have the opportunity to overcome it and earn the Light that is meant to fulfill us. These next twelve days the negative side (our egos) will be turned up on full blast, giving us every reason to behave in negative, reactive ways. Luckily, the Kabbalists gave us an arsenal of spiritual weapons the help us combat these negative forces so that we can overcome them and draw down positive energy. Starting with the Ascendant, we see that we have another month with Capricorn rising and all of those powerful placements in Capricorn coming to the forefront and demanding our focus. We have Saturn, Pluto, and the South Node all there intensely drawing our energy and focus onto our obligations, responsibilities, and goals. Down in the fourth house we see the Moon and Sun in Aries reigniting our desire with a fiery passion to reach for those goals that the Capricorn planets are demanding we reorient ourselves towards. Mars, the ruling planet of this month, is located in Gemini in the sixth house, adding flexibility and an exciting flow of ideas into our minds which we will want to put into action so that we can move forward and make those goals and obligations a reality. Mars's dispositor, Mercury, is still in Pisces tangled in a stellium with Neptune and Venus. This is where we can begin to find our challenges.
You see, the work that the Capricorn planets are demanding is arduous, time consuming, and can quickly become boring. While, the Sun and Moon in Aries are reigniting our desire to make these goals a reality, we can quickly find the excitement burning out when we realize the mountain of work that lies before us. Mars in Gemini will want to take all of the tasks that are required and start working on them all at once. The problem is that this disperses our energy and can quickly leave us feeling bored and burnt out. Once Mercury and that Pisces stellium kicks in, we'll want to retreat into our place of escape instead of actually doing the necessary work. So what's the trick? We have to be the ones who are maintaining the excitement rather than expecting the universe to give it to us. Remember, we're here to earn our fulfillment, not have it handed to us. The solution is very simple: pick a maximum of three to five tasks that you need to complete and work only on those. Alternate between them, work a half hour on task one, then a half hour on task two, half hour on task three, and so on. This way, your mind stays engaged and does't get bogged down into one single task which will eventually burn out your excitement. Also, if you take a half hour from time to time and practice some form of spiritual meditation, that Pisces stellium can give you access to an infinite source of spiritual awareness and consciousness which will guide you towards understanding how your tasks and projects can be focused towards the service of others rather than filling the temporary needs of your ego. If we work this way, we'll find that we complete all of our tasks much faster and with much more enthusiasm than if we had gone full steam ahead and tried to attack them all at the same time. The less we try to extend all our energy out in one shot, and the more we keep our work balanced, the happier and lighter we will feel in making these goals and obligations manifest.

Aries (Asc or Sun) - Here we go Aries, a new opportunity to renew your excitement for your goals and career. Taurus (Asc or Sun) - This month is your opportunity to embrace the changes that are starting to take shape. Especially those within yourself. You felt a slight push for a personal revolution last spring, but now you're ready to go full steam ahead. The trick? Do not go all-in, head first. You have high aspirations for what you wish to accomplish, but you still have much to learn before you get there. The universe is pushing you, and you are pushing yourself. But we all know how volatile you can become when pushed to far too fast. Embrace flexibility and allow yourself to flow with the changes in a way that is balanced and thoughtful.
Gemini (Asc or Sun) - The surmounting issues revolving around shared finances will come to a head this month. It is truly something that you are ready to break free from. Luckily, you have a lot of support from the universe to not only tap into what you truly want to achieve in your life, but it will also give you the courage you need to chase your dreams. Do not be discouraged when you realize that making your dreams a reality may take longer than you'd like. As long as you control the burning fire that pushes you to make your dreams a reality, you will not find yourself burning out or losing interest in the long process.
Cancer (Asc or Sun) - Put up or shut up. A message that has been running through your head lately when it comes to your partner (romantic or work). You have a clear goal in your mind that you are ready to go for this month, and the apprehensiveness of the other party has you ready to pull your hair out. Beware, you have a tendency to quickly lose interest in something when it doesn't move as fast as you'd like it to, and that impatience can incite an exchange of angry words. Meditation and communion with the spiritual is your best bet in supporting you to not give in to an impulse that may do more damage in the long run than you would expect. Have a little more patience, and all will work out in its time.
Leo (Asc or Sun) - Over the last year and a half, you have felt heavy pressure to complete a mountain of tasks. Not only that, but your responsibility to ensure your team is keeping to their tasks and schedule has added another level of pressure. This month, you'll feel a call to chase a dream and begin on a quest to learn more about how to make that dream a reality. The problem: where to find the time? Not to worry; you have more support than you realize. All you have to do is ask for help, and the universe will provide it. A new journey is available to you if you just take a leap of faith.
Virgo (Asc or Sun) - A call to greater obligation in your creative endeavors (this includes children if you have them) will be placed on you this month. You'll also find people coming into the equation who may want to help you with all the work that is required, however, do not allow yourself to give up your boundaries. These new folks will have good intentions, but if you're not careful, they may take full control and pull your vision off track. Keep your healthy boundaries well maintained and communicated. A balanced approach is key and will actually help you in the long run to achieve certain goals, but it requires that you take responsibility to maintain it.
Libra (Asc or Sun) - The reigniting of a family conflict may spill over into your relationship with your significant other and will require that you confront deep internal issues that you have been avoiding by focusing on work. The universe is calling upon you to release superficial needs and, instead, evolve into someone who fearlessly confronts the world with certainty and bravery. As you begin to release your fears surrounding loss and poverty, you will discover that you have a lot more inner strength than you may have realized. This strength will empower you to face the challenges you encounter both internally and externally in a proactive way.
Scorpio (Asc or Sun) - Over the last couple of years you have been working through some hangups you have that linger from your adolescence and early school days. You were taught that hard work and dedication will get you where you want to go, but you have been learning that it also requires a deeper connection with those around you so that you can form reliable relationships that will support you. This month, you will be required to ask for help and begin digging deeper into those relationships. If you do not, the mental stress it places on you could negatively affect your health. Avoid physical and mental burn out by letting go and learning to trust and maybe even forgive others.
Sagittarius (Asc or Sun) - Another key month for you and your financial goals, but this time around, you will be given the opportunity to get your creative juices flowing and initiate something that will eventually lead to a very positive long term investment. It will require, however, that you work with someone who thinks and speaks so fast that you become frustrated and somewhat turned off. You are in a crucial moment of personal growth, so do everything in your power to practice patience and empathy. If you pull this thing off, you'll reap great rewards from it and gain a tremendous boost to your self esteem. Side note, don't get distracted by partying, vacationing, or unnecessary spending. It's not worth it in the long run. Focus on your financial goals.
Capricorn (Asc or Sun) - For the last couple of years your focus has been on learning to transform negative aspects of your personality and to rebuild yourself as someone more capable and more effective at handling any challenge thrown your way. This month, you may find yourself in conflict with your family or parents, giving you the opportunity to put into practice and truly be the person you have rebuilt yourself to be. Believe it or not, this will take you down a road to healing deep seated wounds that were inflicted over the last ten years. You are where you need to be doing what you need to do. Do not let anyone make you think you are unworthy.
Aquarius (Asc or Sun) - This is a month where you will want to go out on the town and have lots of fun, but you'll also feel a creative streak turned on full blast with a plethora of ideas spinning around in your mind. This is a great time to utilize that creative energy to express all that you have been feeling and dealing with internally for the last few years. Channel it into creative writing or journaling, painting and drawing, or even take a dance class. A deep clean of your subconscious has been taking place, and this month offers you the opportunity of a productive and proactive way to express it so that it can cleared out to make room for something new to come into your life.
Pisces (Asc or Sun) - Your aspirations are calling you this month, and you are ready to go all-in and invest every ounce of yourself into making them real. You have been laying a lot of ground work for quite a while, and the work has been grueling. Your new found enthusiasm can be a powerful driving force to keep up the stamina, however, beware that you may see the light at the end of a tunnel that isn't actually there. You have made a long term commitment, and that means longer than you would normally like it to be. Do not throw all of your money into something just because you think you're at the end of a commitment. You've still got a long way to go, but if you pull back and keep doing what you've been doing, you will eventually get there and find you've made your dreams into reality.
The Kabbalists gave us tools we can use to control the energy of each month. These tools are the Hebrew letters that control the sign and planet that rule each month. According the Zohar, the Hebrew alphabet is not just any normal set of letters. It is the physical manifestation of spiritual vibrations of energy. When we gaze upon the letters, their vibrations activate the Light of our soul. Once this Light is activated, we are given the power to overcome any negative influence, thereby taking our power back. This month, the Kabbalists teach we can use the Hebrew letter "Dalet" to control the planet Mars and the Hebrew letter "Hei" to control the sign of Aries. Any time we find ourselves working in a way that is unbalanced and with too much intensity, meditate on these letters simply by looking at them. Allow their Light to enter your consciousness and activate the Light of your soul. From there, you can clear your mind and move forward acting with your divine essence. This month is by far, the most powerful. In fact, it includes the holiday of Passover, which Kabbalistically is the cosmic window in time where we are offered true freedom from our negative desires and impulses. La Luna Nueva de Aries - Reprendiendo la Chispa del Deseo
Sé que lo he estado diciendo mucho durante las últimas dos semanas, pero necesito decirlo solo una vez más: ¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO! Cuando el sol entra en Aries, la mayorÃa de los astrólogos contemporáneos lo consideran el año nuevo astrológico oficial, pero en la astrologÃa cabalÃsta es la Luna Nueva de Aries la que aporta y manifiesta la energÃa de renovación en el cosmos. Este mes en el calendario cabalÃstico es fascinante. En la Torá, se llama Chodesh Ha Aviv, o Padre de los meses, lo que significa que dentro de este mes existe la energÃa de los meses siguientes. Pregunta para ti: ¿cuál es la razón por la que ponemos tanto énfasis en las nuevas lunas? ¿Es por obligación porque la primera instrucción dada a los antiguos israelitas cuando salieron de Egipto fue bendecir a la luna nueva? ¿Es porque necesitamos una excusa para celebrar? ¿O es porque lo hacemos de una manera robótica? En la Kabbalah, nunca buscamos entender la causa de nada observando la manifestación fÃsica. Siempre acudimos a la causa superior, metafÃsica, para comprender su verdadera esencia. Según el Zohar, el Sol y la Luna representan poderosas inteligencias de energÃa cósmica. Como dije en mi artÃculo sobre la Luna Nueva de Piscis 1, el Sol representa la Luz del Creador que busca llenarnos de su beneficencia y la Luna nos representa a nosotros, el recipiente, y nuestro deseo de recibir esa energÃa de plenitud. Cada vez que tenemos una luna nueva, estamos entrando en un nuevo ciclo cósmico de iniciación (luna nueva), construcción (luna creciente), manifestación (luna llena) y, finalmente, terminaciones (luna menguante). Los cabalistas enseñan que el momento más poderoso del lanzamiento de un proyecto es su nivel inicial o el momento en que comienza el proceso. Dentro de una semilla de manzana, el árbol entero está oculto, pero eventualmente se revelará a través de un proceso de crecimiento. Si hay un problema con el ADN en la semilla, entonces habrá un problema con el árbol. Las lunas nuevas son como el nivel de semilla de nuestros meses, y nuestra conciencia es el ADN que inyectamos en esa semilla. Lo que sea que pensemos, digamos y hagamos en el (los) dÃa (s) de la Luna Nueva, tendrá un efecto directo en cómo se manifiesta la energÃa de ese mes, no solo eso, sino que cuanto más elevadas estén nuestras conciencias y acciones en ese dÃa, más control tendremos sobre la energÃa de ese mes. Es por eso que las Nuevas Lunas en general son una poderosa ventana cósmica donde podemos recuperar nuestro control sobre el mundo externo, mediante el control espiritual de nuestra conciencia. Aries es como la Luna Nueva por excelencia, ya que no solo contiene la energÃa del Mes de Aries, sino también la energÃa de todos los meses que seguirán.
El mes de Aries tiene una estructura interesante. El primer dÃa de Aires corresponde al nivel de semilla del propio mes. El segundo dÃa contiene el nivel de semilla del mes siguiente, Tauro. El tercer dÃa es el nivel de semilla de Géminis, y asà sucesivamente hasta que lleguemos al dÃa doce, que corresponde al nivel de semilla de Piscis. Esto significa que en los primeros doce dÃas de Aries cada pensamiento que pensemos, palabra que hablemos y acción que tomemos influirá directamente en los próximos doce meses por venir. Suena un poco intimidante ¿verdad? Bueno, a decir verdad, deberÃamos ser más cautelosos y conscientes en estos doce dÃas para que podamos inyectar tanta energÃa positiva en nuestro año como sea posible. Los cabalistas enseñan que hay dos fuerzas en nuestro mundo fÃsico que buscan influir en nuestra conciencia: la energÃa de la Luz y la energÃa del oponente, a lo que algunas religiones se refieren como Satanás. Pero en hebreo, Satanás solo significa adversario. Comenzando con el Ascendente, vemos que tenemos otro mes con el aumento de Capricornio y todas esas ubicaciones poderosas en Capricornio que están a la vanguardia y que exigen nuestro enfoque. Tenemos a Saturno, Plutón y el Nodo Sur, todos allà intensamente para atraer nuestra energÃa y enfocarnos en nuestras obligaciones, responsabilidades y metas. Abajo, en la cuarta casa, vemos que la Luna y el Sol en Aries reaviven nuestro deseo con una pasión ardiente por alcanzar esos objetivos que los planetas de Capricornio nos pide que nos reorientemos. Marte, el planeta que rige este mes, está ubicado en Géminis en la sexta casa, lo que agrega flexibilidad y un flujo emocionante de ideas a nuestras mentes que querremos poner en acción para que podamos avanzar y hacer realidad esos objetivos, obligaciones y metas. El dispositor de Marte, Mercurio, todavÃa está en Piscis enredado en un estelio con Neptuno y Venus. Aquà es donde podemos comenzar a encontrar nuestros desafÃos.
Lo puedes ver, el trabajo que demandan los planetas de Capricornio es arduo, consume mucho tiempo y puede volverse aburrido rápidamente. Mientras que el Sol y la Luna en Aries están reavivando nuestro deseo de convertir estos objetivos en realidad. Podemos encontrar rápidamente que la emoción se agota cuando nos damos cuenta de la montaña de trabajo que tenemos ante nosotros. Marte en Géminis querrá tomar todas las tareas que se requieren y comenzar a trabajar en ellas a la vez. El problema es que esto dispersa nuestra energÃa y puede dejarnos rápidamente aburridos y agotados. Además, si tomas la mitad de vez en cuando y practicas algún tipo de meditación espiritual, ese estelio en Piscis puede darte acceso a una fuente infinita de conciencia espiritual y esta te guiará hacia la comprensión de cómo tus tareas y proyectos pueden enfocarse hacia el servicio a los demás en lugar de satisfacer las necesidades temporales de tu ego. Si trabajamos de esta manera, veremos que completamos todas nuestras tareas mucho más rápido y con mucho más entusiasmo que si hubiéramos ido a toda máquina e intentado atacarlas todas al mismo tiempo. Cuanto menos intentemos extender toda nuestra energÃa de una sola vez, y más bien mantenemos nuestro trabajo equilibrado, más felices y ligeros nos sentiremos al hacer que estos objetivos y obligaciones se manifiesten.

Tienes un objetivo claro en tu mente y que está listo para este mes, y la aprensión de la otra persona te tiene de los pelos. Ten en cuenta que tienes una tendencia a perder rápidamente el interés en algo cuando no se mueve tan rápido como quisieras y que la impaciencia puede incitar un intercambio de palabras enojadas. La meditación y la unión con lo espiritual es tu mejor apuesta para ayudarte a no ceder a un impulso que puede hacerte más daño a largo plazo de lo que tu esperarÃas. Ten un poco más de paciencia, y todo funcionará en su momento.
Leo (Asc o Sol) - Durante el último año y medio, has sentido una gran presión para completar una montaña de tareas.
