Happy New Moon everyone! What an amazing shift in energy we have coming to us. The last month of Capricorn gave us a heavy dose of duty and responsibility, and while this month will do the same, Aquarius gives us a much broader perspective on the purpose of our work and its higher impact on the world at large. Both signs were designated to be ruled by the planet Saturn at the time of creation, which is curious because the two signs are very different. Saturn is the last planet that can be seen with the naked eye. He is on the border of what is seen and unseen. This why he rules boundaries, rules, restrictions, and structures that separate one space or thing from another. However, he also sits on that boundary and can see out into the infinity of space. He is mounted on the border between the physical world and our spiritual world and acts as a bridge between our ideas and their manifestation. That is the aspect of Aquarius. The ability to reach into our higher consciousness and see beyond our physical limitations. It gives us the capacity to tap into our aspirations that seem impossible or unattainable, and from there, actually make them a reality. So many Aquarians live in a future world. They see a possibility of how things could be in their highest and most elevated form. The biggest challenge is bringing it down to earth in a way that is practical and can be understood by everyone else. This month, we will be able to access that vision, to see what we can become and from that view, formulate a way to make it real. Let’s look at this month’s chart:
As with every chart, we go straight to the ascendant and find it in Aries along with his ruler Mars! We also have a major Stellium in Capricorn with Mercury, the Midheaven, Saturn, the Sun eclipsed by the Moon, Pluto, and the South Node.
The powerful Aries energy will rekindle our passion, desire, and excitement to get up and get moving. We will be blessed with a full tank of gas and a sense of rejuvenation. It is that very energy that will help to ignite our spark, but use it wisely. Aries and Mars energy can burn out quickly if we find that this process of manifesting our true potential does not move as fast as we would like. Judging by the powerful presence of Capricorn energy in this chart, we can see that the best way to channel all that fiery energy is to build an action plan. Formulate your plans and prepare yourself to go step by step and brick by brick. Capricorn is a much slower energy compared to Aries and Mars, but its meticulous methodology is very effective. The solar eclipse is the first in Capricorn since 2011, and it will begin a process of marked changes. This is an incredible opportunity since attaining our dreams means letting go of old ways of doing things so that we can introduce new ones that serve this new person we want to become. One last note: with this much Capricorn and Aries in the chart we run the risk of feeling as though we are the only ones who can do it and that we must go it alone. If we take that attitude we could find ourselves feeling lonesome and, in the end, depressed. This is when we should lean on the energy of Aquarius which is social and people loving.
